Prayer Watches

Again this is information ChiChi Bismark taught at the National Prayer Summit.

There are eight prayer watches described in the Bible.  Everyone is given a watch.  At different times and seasons in your life, you may find that your prayer watch time changes.  Every watch has a purpose…

  1. 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.  – This time is for declarations and utterances; equipment of service; transforming of minds; the time that God strengthens Christians.
  2. 9 a.m. to noon – Time for forgiveness; healing of relationships; harvest; scientific and technological advances; exits and entry watch.
  3. Noon to 3 p.m. – Time that the promises of God are released; shaking of foundations; dwelling in the secret place of the most high; Time to exercise God-given dominion.
  4. 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. – Time to transform history; time to remove veils, coverings of darkness; prayer hour of covenants; the hour of triumphant glory; the time for establishing kingdom.
  5. 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. – Time of meditation (having the Word manifest inside of us); time for divine judgments; time for deliverance; time for resurrection; time to pray for the economy; drown the walls of darkness; shake out all the wicked structures from our economic systems, educational systems, religious systems, political systems and all other systems.
  6. 9 p.m. to midnight – Time for thanksgiving; time for visitation; the time when the Lord prepares you to receive many acts of change in the earth.  Midnight is symbolic of intense darkness but God is the light in the darkness and releases strategy during this time.
  7. Midnight to 3 a.m. – Time for prayers of protection and strength to overcome; time for outpouring of the spirit of grace; to overcome every limitation of gifts and anointing; special time for divine governments; overruling human decrees to give an angelic release.
  8. 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. – Time to pray for freedom of the Bride.  Angelic activity or intervention; the time when God releases the dew of heaven; time for blessings from heaven above; blessings of the deep that lies beneath; blessings of the womb; blessings of our fathers and ancestors.  God has to bless His people.

Thank you so much for posting the 8 watches information. I have just finished watching a clip on Tv regarding the last four watches but desperately wanted to find out the meanings of the first four. May your work continue to educate and empower people in the Lord’s principles of prayer.

    Shalom

  2. This is great. What would be greater would be a book explaining them in greater detail.
I have never been taught these things in church and have only heard them briefly in messages by the Bismarks, which I am so grateful for as it gave me a level of understanding as to why I was being awoken at certain times.I believe more information on this subject matter would be greatly beneficial for Our growth.

I am awestruck.. The LORD spoke to me with an audible voice and said, Pray at 3pm… I had no idea the revelation of this power hour.. I just obeyed the voice of the LORD.. I was also told by LORD to pray at 6am.. I have been praying in the am for some years now..This is eye opening, maintaining, empowering and understanding the will of GOD. I have been through some things that should have wiped me out.. Now I understand how I’m overcoming.. This is incredible…I am not just praying now.. I have understanding of what the LORD instructed me to do.. Nevertheless, obedience is better than sacrifice.. I am so blessed Sister Chi Chi and Tudor.. I hope you are doing well. Understand you were in an accident .. We will be praying for you..

May God continue to reveal the hidden mysteries of the Kingdom to you as you share them with the Body of Christ. We(the Body)need more teaching about the importance of prayer in our daily walk. Thank you and may God richly bless you and make His face to shine upon you always.

    In His Service,
    Angela

Yes,I agree, I believe this to be true in my spirit, but, I would like to know the scriptures to back this when I share with others

      • Tee says:

If you read the word, you will find many instances with scriptures and times. The scriptures definitely backs this up.

Thank you very much for being so conscientious as to posting this for those of us who had not seen this for themselves. One thing though, and please correct me if I’m wrong, but in Genesis, during the creation, it is described as “…the evening and the morning…” being the first day, second day, so on and so forth. And I have heard that with that reasoning, 6 pm to 9 pm, being evening hours, traditionally speaking, would be 1st Watch, then 9 pm to midnight, 2nd, etc. Would this be the case or not? Again, thank you for your kindness in posting this.

    • Hi Cavon,

Thank you for commenting. I numbered the watches but in reality they aren’t really “numbered” just different time frames that we label at “watches”. This is a teaching that I enjoyed and felt that was good information, it is of course Biblically based but not necessarily written out specifically in the Bible as “This is watch one, this is watch two, etc. In other words, study the Bible and with everything, “eat the meat and spit out the bones” as they say.

Thank you for reading and I hope you read and comment again!

God Bless you and may you be fruitful and multiply in all that you do.

Thank you for this detailed information! For years now, I’ve been REGULARLY awakened by the spirit, between the hours of 12:00 a.m. – 4:30 a.m. A few years ago,I am grateful that God allows the Holy Spirit to awaken me to pray during these hours, as well as the spirit leading me to pray ‘out of the blue’, throughout the day.

May God bless & keep you!

Thank you Pastor Chichi. God gave you a passion for prayer for a reason. Even after Bibile College where you taught us how to pray, I continue to learn more from you. May God increase you and strengthen you, and give you more revelation.
